Missionary Position
The missionary position is the most popular and widely used sex position in the western world. This is probably because most people are not very advernturous with their sex, preferring to use the most basic position and often the only one they are familiar with. However, this position is what the couple involved wishes to make of it and indeed it can be wonderful. There is good face-to-face and whole-body contact, which can be extremely erotic for both partners. This position also affords both the man and the woman a great deal of control and versatility. The man can brace himself with his arms for more control. He can also bring his legs closer together for deeper penetration. If the platform supporting the two is soft the woman can take control by thrusting while the man braces himself. This is the sexual position recommended for couples who are sexually inexperienced or for those who are just beginning to have sex. It is also widely used between partners who are overweight, physically mismatched, or perhaps those with certain medical injuries.
